How should I get back into programming?
« on: June 19, 2007, 09:57:48 PM »
by m1t0s1s

I learned qbasic in high school, and went to college and learned c, c++, and pascal; I failed in college because I have attention deficit disorder.

What would be the easiest way to get back into programming?

I don't like traditional classroom-style learning, and I can probably teach myself since I have some knowledge of programming.

Also, what language should I get into? PHP, Ruby, Python, Scheme or something else? Perl?

I randomly checked my bloggers and I found today that 100% of those checked have the message above. If I sign-in, the blog is reactivated but in my experience after a few days, it displays the message above again.

Does reactivating the blog a losing battle. Should I just go on creating more blogger blogs rather than saving/reactivating my old blogger blogs for linking purposes.

What do you usually do in this case?

Redirect to Affiliate Link or Your Own Landing Page with the Affiliate's Ad?

i read somewhere in the past threads that it is better to redirect your visitors to your own landing page that show your affiliate's ads than to redirect them immediately to your affiliate link.

now why is that so?

thanks!

Re: Hiding text using CSS

...I always figured the easiest way to hide text with css is to simply build a div keep the background offset to the text... because I think that they can pick up especially since its like the first thing google mentions... (white text on white background)..... but if you were to place a white image as the background of the div then lay the text over it.... the text will be hidden and the googlebot wont be able to tell since it cannot tell what the background img is.... so as far as its concerned the text is readable....

Of course, a human reviewing the site might catch it ...but then a human review would catch any of your tricks...
